distribution law for average annual discharges of a flow. It is the first time the authors of the present paper have taken Johnson S-B distribution as a distribution law for different elements of the water quality in the water reservoirs of Georgia including coastal waters of the Black Sea. The research has been conducted with the help of EU funded project \"PERSEUS\" and taking into account the principles of MSFD to diversify the methods of hydrochemical parameters analysis. Compared to other types of distribution, the advantage of Johnson S-B distribution is that the given distribution describes the process of variation of different hydrochemical elements in the water pretty well, can take various forms, while plotting the curves of distribution density and provision is much easier with Johnson S-B distribution than with other types of distribution. Besides, Johnson S-B distribution has a simple relation with normal sequence and it is simple and convenient to model artificial series. One of the major issues with using Johnson S-B distribution is the identification of the upper and lower limits of a random variable.
