Fish abundance data from two Mediterranean sources were matched to sea surface temperature and salinity from Bio-ORACLE. ClimateFish provides visual census counts of 15 climate indicator species at 28 coastal sites (2009-2021). MEDITS provides standardised trawl catches of 230 species across 115 grid cells on the continental shelf (depth ≤200m, 2005-2024). For each dataset, community structure was analysed using Principal Coordinates Analysis on Bray-Curtis dissimilarity, and the relative importance of SST, salinity, and depth was assessed by correlation with the main community gradients.
